Shailene Woodley is an acclaimed American actor and activist. As a character in The Descendants, she played Alexandra King who is an addiction-prone teenager. After her stellar performance on The Descendants she went on to take on other characters that showcased her talents. Shailene was able to earn a prominent place within the film industry at a young age in her career. This is a feat in and of itself. After beginning her career with commercials and television, her next step was to take on major roles in Hollywood movies. The acting skills she has displayed have won her numerous accolades, such as MTV Movie Awards. People's Choice Awards. and Teen Choice Awards.
